Buyers don't trust claims. They trust numbers you can defend. The sellers who publish quality metrics on their listings consistently out-earn sellers of the same dataset who don't.

The core five

  • Coverage: what fraction of the universe does the dataset cover?
  • Freshness: how old is the newest record vs. the real world event?
  • Completeness: what percentage of fields are populated?
  • Duplication rate: how many duplicate records exist?
  • Change rate: how many records change per refresh?

Compute them once a month and publish them in the listing. That alone will put you ahead of 80% of sellers in your category.
