Seven years of crop scouting reports with pest counts, disease notes, field photos and treatment advice from agronomists working in Brazil.
Crop scouts visit fields, count what they find, take photos and tell the grower what to do next. This archive gathers roughly 91,000 of those visits by Verde's field team over seven years, mostly in soy, corn and sugarcane. Reports started as paper and WhatsApp messages, then moved to a mobile form in 2021. Records from the form are structured, with crop stage, sample points, pest and disease counts, severity and a treatment recommendation. Earlier reports were transcribed, with less consistent counts and more free text. Geotagged photos accompany about 45 percent of visits. Identification quality reflects the person in the field, and no lab confirmation was done. Some photos are too blurry to be useful. We also don't know whether growers followed each recommendation, as follow-up visits exist for only about half of them. Locations are reduced to municipality level.
